Just outside Kansas City in the south of fast-growing Johnson County, the NewHope Bariatrics Surgery Center is located in popular Overland Park, KS on Nall Avenue, right off I-435. This brand-new state-of-the-art LAP-Band facility reflects the best in surgical care and convenience.
Dr. Stephen Malley, who has performed more LAP-BAND System procedures than anyone in the region, helped design the center to cater to the needs of our patients in a comfortable setting that utilizes all of the latest technology. The center is unlike any other weight-loss surgery center in the region.
We welcomed Dr. C. Thomas Hitchcock to the NewHope Bariatrics team in September 2008 to help address the growing demand for outpatient LAP-BAND surgery. We feel lucky to have found a surgeon with 25 years of experience treating severe obesity and his talent and experience are a great addition to the organization.
The caring professionals at the surgery center and our surgeons’ office, several with personal LAP-BAND experience, take the time to understand your individual goals and create a customized program to help you finally achieve long-term health and success.
We know how busy life can be, so we have developed a comprehensive program, including educational seminars, online resources, medical consultations, outpatient surgery, post-op band adjustments, and support groups—all of which are provided at the center.
